Delete your account
This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Polish version (Usunięcie konta) prevails.
You can delete your FinPath account at any time. You do not need to have the app installed to submit a deletion request.
How to delete your account
Write to us
In the message, include:
- the login you use in the app — students: the pseudonymous login received from your teacher (school code, class and number); teachers and coordinators: the e-mail address of your account;
- the name of your school (for student accounts) — this helps us identify the account unambiguously.
Students do not need to provide their first or last name — student accounts are not linked to this data.
Because the operation is irreversible, we verify every request before executing it: requests concerning student accounts are confirmed with the coordinating teacher at the school, and requests concerning teacher accounts — via the e-mail address assigned to the account.
Or ask your coordinating teacher
Students taking part in the programme may also ask their coordinating teacher to delete their account, which the teacher can do directly in the programme panel.
Processing time
We will process the request without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days of receiving it. Account deletion is irreversible.
What data is deleted
Account deletion means permanent, irreversible anonymisation. The following is deleted:
- the login and the ability to sign in to the account,
- the class and school assignment and the ordinal number within the class,
- registered devices and push notification tokens,
- access-recovery data (the security question and the answer hash),
- all active sessions (immediate sign-out on all devices),
- for teacher accounts: first and last name, e-mail address and phone number.
What data is retained and why
- anonymised educational data (e.g. quiz results, activity statistics, budget entries) — retained in a form permanently detached from any person, used solely for the educational programme’s statistics;
- data whose retention is required by law — only for the period required by those provisions;
- data stored locally on your device (e.g. the mood journal) — it is not on our servers; you can remove it by uninstalling the app.
Detailed information about data processing can be found in the Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, write to us or visit the Support page.
